Had some restructuring in North Dallas. We lost our AGM and Front End/Warehouse guy. Management rolls were shuffled including Ft. Worth's GM, who has been helping out, becoming ours, and our GM taking a different, unclear role. Was told this was company wide. Wondering if it was just out store.

Hamburg's customer service manager position was eliminated.
Not just your store. We lost half of our assistant managers on Friday. Let three of the six go and will give two hourly employees more responsibility.
As an 8 Year employee/Manager/Regional Specialist of Cabela's and someone who always watched the numbers, thought for myself and challenged the b—s—, it was plain as day and I did not hesitate. You shouldn't either....anyone who is still at Cabela's, manager or not, is flirting with the hatchet.
BPS was not a good thing, like a lot of people thought.....me included! I left last year because I could see the writing on the wall. Toxic environments, Club going to sh–, Ads became a joke, no more door busters, constant restructuring, dwindling customer counts and sh–ty product.....all added up to the what's going down now.
Cabela's always had under performing stores....Outposts ring a bell? Those stores were handshake deals with state governments for letting Cabela's come in to their larger cities. Cabela's was trying to be a good neighbor! Those stores made sense to nobody except Milner/Castner, government entities and the backwater sh—holes they put them in. The Outpost stores contributions to the company were minuscule, and their drag on profits were huge....except for the Missoula Montana store, they did well.
GMs and AGMs and regional teams made decent money, but ANYONE else made Sh–....and for what? Working their asses off, all over the dammed clock (unhealthy as hell), no loyalty, no seniority, constantly changing and reduced benefits......total b—s—. Yep I'm a bit angry about the whole thing because Cabela's used to be a dammed good company until Milner/Castner got their inept hands on it. Nepotism and looking out for yourself was the name of the game at corporate and that's the truth.........of course Sidney was a small town, so there's some understanding in the high rate of Nepotism in the corporate side of the company , but for anyone to go there and not see the monumental EXCESS in everything........well then you have earned what is happening now. 1 dollar of profit for every 22 dollars of DEBT!!! No company can survive that,......no matter who buys them.
11 Stores closed, more sold. Good managers and regular Outfitters ousted to make room for managers and low hanging fruit employees that can't find their a– with both hands and a Stream-light flashlight...... What the hell are you thinking? When it comes to business, listen with your head and TRUST YOUR GUT. BPS doesn't care about their employees......they will dump you without warning at any time. Remember Milner getting hung up on by Goldman Sachs on an earnings conference call right before they let all the regional managers a few years ago???? I knew then..and it's the same sh– now. Just another retailer that sold their soul to get a bigger bite of the sh– sandwich that Cabela's turned in to.
There are jobs everywhere! Get the hell out while you can. It's going to end poorly for long-time Cabela's employees. Yep there will be a few that survive but, those are GMs and AGMs and they will have to move to survive.....what few are left!!! Adios Cabela's!
