- Update Regarding Coronavirus Situation
30 Jan 2020
Arrow’s business continuity program employs a rigorous, structured approach to evaluate the impact of significant events that may affect the health and safety of our employees, assets or workflow of critical processes around the globe by establishing, sustaining and evolving continuity plans, and conducting necessary ongoing contingency planning.
As it relates to the ongoing Coronavirus situation, we are monitoring developments globally. Our Asia-Pacific operations team has taken actions to ensure we have the appropriate staff, coordinating with our shipping partners, and preparing contingency plans to ensure supply chain integrity.
We continue to closely monitor the supply chain impact from the Coronavirus, which includes working with our manufacturers and logistics providers with operations in China. As businesses have returned to work and communication has resumed, we are beginning to receive additional details.
We have experienced minor delays and lead-time extensions based primarily upon the extension of the New Year’s holiday in other areas, including logistics issues related to airport and customs closures. There is potential for further delays based upon manufacturers’ ability to ramp back to full production levels. As always, we will communicate any issues to impacted customers as they become known.
Our Asia-Pacific distribution centers are operating, and output will continue to increase as more employees are able to return to work.
We will continue to assess further developments within the regions and will keep you posted as the situation evolves and additional information becomes available. Should you have any further questions, we are at your disposal.
Your continued confidence in the Arrow organization and your business is very much appreciated.
I see executives thinking this will just blow over and not giving a f— about employee health. Praise the almighty dollar and short term gains, it's quarter end!
