When the compute hub (Redhill) was fitted out, it was 20 years ago ! Infrastructure technology has changed enormously and retrofitting into Redhill hasn't worked too well due to various limitations of the building. Two options are to have all the compute hosted by a third party (at some cost) , or start again with a future proofed solution, so that's the reason for a move to Burgess Hill
I am assuming that is just the compute hub due to power requirements, not the Crawley processing centre. So a handful of people.
Considering the number of CGG staff now working from home in the UK (Crawley/Redhill) and France maybe we don't need an huge office. Just need a building to house the kit.
Even in light of Coronavirus?
Even in the light of the oil price crash? It would be a bold move
