130 Canadian ((just Canadian) employees laid off today. We were told all the jobs would be moving to the US.
That leaves a shell of Canadian employees left now. The old Allstream clan is officially done now....
Well done CRTC and well done Zayo. You just destroyed another Canada telecom business....
And of course Zayo provides truly embarassing packages - half "working notice", excluding 1/2 of total comp from package calculations, cutting people off from stock options they were awarded in the previous twelve months.
Never mind their concerted efforts to push people out the door through bullying, and setting people up for failure, work stress, and daily abuse.
I hate how they destroyed Allstream, but good riddance to this amoral succubus company.
What makes this more disgusting is displacing 130 Canadians on the tail end of a deal that would have investors such at EQT and Digital Colony bailing Zayo out of billions of dollars of debt. Now these Canadians are left to seek employment during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Disgraceful greed!
