Thread regarding Workday Inc. layoffs

January 2020 layoffs at Workday?

We heard that there were some layoffs last week (week of January 20, 2020) at Workday. Anyone know if true, or how many?

They have never done exit interviews. They aren’t interested in knowing how badly they s— as a company. Bad managers etc. I was laid off in 2018, because I reported being harassed. They kept the harasser and promoted him, kept my manager and promoted her, after she laid me off and she did nothing to protect me. So it’s not surprising there’s more layoffs. Company is not profitable. They also target people over a certain age. Should be a lawsuit for that as well as unpaid overtime. Work all day, work all night.

Yes, it's true - teams in Product and Services were affected. It's expected that there are more to come this year. Some of those laid off made little sense, and none had exit interviews or were asked about what they were working on that might need to be maintained in the future. Inside of Workday, they act like they are profitable and many don't seem to realize they aren't. You survive by being well-liked and trying to stay in the clique. It's just the way it is. Working towards profitability or trying to get a good idea going that will help the bottom line is considered a fool's errand at this point by many Workmates. Maybe it wasn't like that early on, but it is now.
