We need to stop that centralized Austin c-ap that does not benefit the business segments. It makes them totally at the mercy of people who do not know how to manage either technology or business and that leads to layoffs and a stock collapse

Couldn't disagree more. It is the employees, managers, and directors that enhance and enrich the culture of the organization. First, If you, as an employee, are given weak or misaligned goals and don't speak up then you are just as guilty as your manager for accepting mediocrity. Second, if you need "strong" goals in order to perform your job well then you are either fresh out of college (that's the only excuse I would actually accept) or you are a slacker who looks for ways to escape accountability. Typically, the latter person's excuse is, "well my boss didn't give me good direction". If that's true, then both of you should leave. Just my two cents.
Those are not weak goals they are just inappropriate for that section of the business.
It just Highlights the pattern of mismanagement of software or marketing across the Corp ....
I am guessing those were not reviewed by the VP/GM who probably did not know better either.
Let’s stop blaming the employees been put in a horrible situation and see how those directors, Sr directors and VP are largely contributing to the current disasters
You should be ashamed to admit you were given weak goals and did nothing, no wait... slacked off and made excuses to not perform. You literally just admitted you are a slacker and didn’t even realize it. BUT, if you are given “real” goals then you will perform like a champ?? What a bozo. No I’m not moobs. No I’m not from Austin. No I’m not Krafty. Reread your post and see what I mean.
What you’re describing is a culture where end results do not matter. As for krafty and team of peer klowns, that you mention, well I would not be surprised if they get promoted... it happened before ...
Note that most of that team has some form of sales background then moved to marketing or engineering.... hence those easy to fudge numbers target and an obsession of selling themselves and not a product . It’s like a mafia where most are in on it. - for personal gain.
they keep sticking around so no matter which exec comes on top they get fed BS by that layer and the cycle of personal gravy restarts again and again. But hey we can hope for different results every quarter.
This place is ridiculous. How do people up there not see what we see? How do they not see the numbers and the incompetence?
I can see that s***ing up can get you further but numbers should do the storytelling and bring you down eventually. How does Krafty and team of clowns get rewarded for not launching anything? He hasn’t brought any money in with his NPIs!!!
One reason I can think of is a flaw in the organizational design and individual KPIs. Never have I seen or created any goals that talk about OI. All my goals are revenue based and are shared team goals. I am not in Sales! This is a buffer and I can layer so many excuses when I fail to deliver on top line growth - market is cyclical, competition undercut us, sales team s—s, engineering did not deliver on time, lack of resources, la la la
Give us real EBIT goals and watch us go after it with all we have.
Many execs don’t have a lot of time. On cursory examination the people below moobs are “nice” and seem well spoken.
Once you dig into what was said you see no substance and no results. - like that post about the lay-off and blaming Hon - fancy words no real utility but to move the spotlight away from them.
The good thing... the more we highlight this to as many people the more the spotlight moves and shows their ineffectiveness and their true negative impact. They will keep talking about red herrings like asbestos. Refocus on them.
So let’s keep highlighting those people incompetence and mismanagement: Michael midget Jordan, Mike the stain, flashlight / rsi boy, krafty klown, HDG etc.... Turn the spotlight on please so they can’t hide in the shadows. Even their own team is doubting them now.
Why wasn't Moobs demoted? He and HDG need to be walked out fast and everyone else associated with them. Did he really take the package and quit? Did he threaten with the "if I leave it will take down development and if you demote me I'm leaving" ??
Watch out guys.... while HDG may not make the right decisions he is not malicious...
The Rsi boy is the one to watch out for... he secretly created list to fire people (that he could not manipulate or were onto him) to give to moobs all the while smiling to everyone. On his list was a hardware VP in Melville, even other members of the reports of moobs! ...

As for Krafty Klown... well he owned granite, Titan and all famous failled projects... likes to F-CK with people by passing the buck

He doesn’t deserve a Sr. Director title. What does he do anyway besides
1) having two hour long meetings with Krafty Klown to “resolve conflict”? 2) S***ing up to moobs 3) Strategizing with RSI boy to destroy what’s left of Resi.
Some leaders get "titles" that are not representative of their actual level within the company. Don't rely on titles in org charts or email signatures. The best way to see what someones actual 'rank' is - is to look at their info in Outlook. Simply right click on their name in a draft email (i.e. enter their name as if you were sending them an email - but don't) and you will see their actual JOB TITLE / CODE. I've seen many leaders that have "Chief" or "Head of" in their title - and they are usually VP.
In an effort to save Money, VPs were given the option of a package or a demotion. You will see a lot more if you look. Another indication of money issues. This genius took the demotion. It should say unemployed as he brings zero to the table and is incompetent. Not to mention he is the old CTOs boy and he brought him in.
