Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

North Carolina

RALEIGH – The economic impact of the coronavirus could be tremendous with millions of jobs lost, according to a new report. And North Carolina won’t escape the cuts. Aa NC State economist predicts “five digit” losses in North Carolina where nearly 5 million people hold jobs.

“The job market will be adversely impacted. I would expect five digit job losses in North Carolina,” NCSU’s Dr. Mike Walden tells WRAL TechWire.

Nationally, the impact could be worse.

Nearly 80 million jobs in the US economy are at high or moderate risk, according to Moody’s Analytics. That’s more than half of the 153 million jobs in the economy overall.

This is the worst post, and subsequent comment thread, in the history of the internet. Congratulations to all of us.

@3hdv+: because I'm UNEMPLOYED and need a job? duh. Your response alone shows how clueless some are. I hadn't seen anyone use the company in over 10years (I just don't normally run in those circles I guess). when I interviewed, what I was shown was a glimpse into managers that are clueless about technology. Its not valid to assume that all are like that though. I'm just stating the department I interviewed with was reading all from paper notes about "something called the cloud" and was interested to see if I could help.

This is all based on speculations , nothing really related to Citrix

#FakeNEWS this is not relevant to the status of one company let alone Citrix. Get your facts straight.

@3tvb+143FjDTY Your post made no sense. Why would you interview with a company you didn't know what's in business? Why would you interview with a company that you think should be buried like a dinosaur? I think you're not telling the truth.

interviewed with Citrix last month and I have to admit, I didn't know they were even still in business. I thought they were long gone. After the interview I was even MORE surprised. Yeah, time to bury that dinosaur.
