Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Be Kind T-Shirts

CCO was kind enough to let us have Be Kind t-shirts!

Could this be the start of a change of heart for Staples leadership. Will the organization start to Be Kind to its employees?

Regarding that class action lawsuit, please do post it here. I will join.

"Be kind" shirts handed out? Come on, let's be real. Staples has not been kind to it's dedicated workforce since Sycamore took over. Anyone who was 100% furloughed will not be back. Those who were part of the layoff 19 did not get what they were promised in writing.

This is not a company anyone of value and dignity wants to work for. There are many other companies currently hiring that care for its employees and are solid.

Agree with the comment above. Abrasive, doesn’t listen, listens to individuals that are even more ineffective than she is, and what about the millions of dollars spent with BCG and the new leadership is discounting everyone of their recommendations. What a waste of money that could have been used to pay employees instead of saving money now by putting the vast majority of their sales team into financial spiral. If Staples is an essential business, you should be leveraging the sales organization at this time and even though we know you don’t really care about the people that work for this company it would be the right business decision to make to actually find the sales to keep the lights on and the company moving forward. Too many agendas to even know what is real, what is crystal clear is there is nothing kind about the CCO and has brought nothing to the organization for any hope of a transformation. She will tear everything down first and then attempt to rebuild to take credit for the rebirth that will never come. There is a reason she left her old company and it wasn’t for a new challenge.

How ironic that the Be Kind t-shirts are being promoted by the Staples CCO. If you have never had the pleasure of interacting with her, she is one of the more abrasive and tone deaf individuals you will ever meet. She has delivered no value during her time at Staples, but she attempts to offset this by telling everyone how great she was at P&G. As opposed to earning the respect of the associates through leadership and support, she attempts to create the allusion that she has great business insight by telling everyone else that they do not. Maybe she can tell others how great she was during her time at Staples once she moves on, but it better not be to someone that was at Staples while she was, because they will know the truth.

Regarding bonus, I'm actively looking for a firm to take legal action before Staples declares bankruptcy.

Congrats on receiving your bonus payouts!!! I hear it was paid out in a 50/50 blend; and you have you choice of 3 sizes. Small medium or large. Be kind while you get screwed over by leadership!

How about paying LAST YEARS BONUS which they have held hostage for months now? Now they have furloughed thousands of employees so the Fed/State can pay their wages... if that’s not Corp Welfare, I don’t know what is.

I’m hearing about a class action lawsuit. When I get more detail, I will post it here.

Good luck and stay safe out there!
