“Wont be long before they are forced to close the doors on the TDM network and show those employees the door“
It will take unity ten years to shut down the TDM network. There is a lot of high priority and emergency services traffic on it for schools and municipalities. They’ll have to retain more than a few people to keep that running, both in the field and back office support overseas. They could make the service on that network so bad that most customers will begin leaving on their own!! Anything short of a customer base fire sale, will most likely put unity in bankruptcy!!!
Windstream wins in the end...
At one point I could literally name 300-400 people that worked at windstream, lucky if I could name 10 people still working there. Only thing leaving faster then employees are customers and assets. No assets left and customers are leaving at a 75 to 1 ratio compared to installs. Wont be long before they are forced to close the doors on the TDM network and show those employees the door. Windstream would nearly be cash flow positive at that point. SD-WAN and VoIP will be the only products left standing soon. And they are looking at shutting down OfficeSuite, it just doesnt scale out for large customers and is basically just a Mitel operating system on cisco blades paired with the reselling of Zoom. A guy in canada literally threw it together in his garage on a $50 Dell server for Broadview
What was the eps?
Churning through 20 million a month. Estimate 15-20 percent of workforce will need to be cut to make up the loss. Giving away broadband and wave services and penny on the dollar for S D wan. Executives get bonuses for losing money. Uniti deal will help but Windstream is a mobile home on leased land. A good company would announce layoffs during company meeting however Windstream is not good company
Another expected horrible quarter from a horrible company. Worst leadership group in the entire USA.
good thing they laid off over 1300 people to keep the numbers inflated for the investors
