We have chosen not to furlough staff and are instead re-deploying people as much as we possibly can around the business to support the areas of greatest need and opportunity

For the last 20 years, the typical Pearson executive says this when asked about why company performance stinks. "We believe the shift to digital learning presents an unprecedented opportunity."

In 2009, Marjorie spent most of her address at the NSM talking about how the Obama election was going to change everything for Pearson. Common core. Standardized testing. Yeah, that worked out really well. Take a look at Pearson stock price since then.
