I work on the 737 line at Spirit Aerosystems.
So as we all know, Spirit Aerosystems Inc. closed its wichita facility on Wednesday for the duration on 2 weeks to combat COVID19.
What a great idea from Spirit Aerosystems to protect its employees and their family's
Thank you Spirit, or should I say, what a bulls__it idea to look good to the public and news organizations.
Update is this, 3 days into the shutdown, I just recieved a call by Spirit. They ordered me and all 737 line employees to report back to work monday morning.
Guess they really don't want to combat this epidemic OMG!!!
We must have k–led the CORONAVIRUS!!!
All a smoke screen.

How can Spirit continue to spend millions of dollars a week paying employees to sit home? Those managers would b–ch if you used 5 minutes of company time talking to each other,Spirit is digging a hole they are not coming out of,they better cut costs fast!
This industry is done for a couple years, layoffs are needed to stop the losses.
787 Program just got sent home today ( april 6 ). Paid for rest of day and tomorrow. Was told that we will get a call when to come back. Deep cleaning? Layoffs? Furlough? No one is saying anything. Boeing saying is suspending indefinitely yesterday. Seems like they are deciding on what to do and how many, imo.
You people may not know it but in the next couple weeks Spirit is going to have a layoff which will be into the thousands so don't be surprised.
Just got Auto Tex from Spiritaerosystems say every one back to work on the 8th!
As far as I'm concerned...Its just wichita
Wichita and Tulsa . Or just Wichita?
