Thread regarding Rent-A-Center Inc. layoffs

How can we expect to survive this?

I don’t want to spread negative thoughts at this time, but to tell you the truth, I really don’t see any way RAC can survive this economic environment. I mean let’s be realistic, much bigger and much more organized companies are crumbling within the circumstances that are present, so the thought that RAC can go through these tough times without being at least drastically downsized seems like wishful thinking to me. Is it realistic for us to harbor any hope that at least some of us can keep our jobs?
I always knew that this company would eventually pay the price for all the outdated practices, nepotism, toxic culture and for everything else that wax wrong. I find it kind of ironic that the workers will be the ones who will be most impacted and the first who will feel the negative effects of this company falling apart in these times of crisis.

Rac is all about cash flow, the founder of the Company was big on that idea. The cash flow slows or stops when customer does not pay, returns, skips or just cant afford to rerent from rac. Cash on hand, loans etc do not help if the stores lose half of the customer base.
