Thread regarding West Corp. layoffs

Layoffs

Know your rights- severance isn’t typically a trade of for your silence. HR is there to protect the company, not you. You don’t have to sign anything and they can’t withhold pay for work performed for any reason.

woburn mass location got the boot on 3/30/20 which was 5 days ago and when this post was made. wonder if it was one of the 7 people who got canned 3/30/20 who posted this? this is why i ran and didn't stay till the end. i told ya'll to start looking but ya'll didn't listen. greed got the better of ya'll and ya'll stayed till the end because ya'll wanted your money and it appears ya'll got the shaft in more ways than one. the economy is in massive contraction mode and there are no jobs. good luck finding work. was the greed really worth it? hope ya'll read this.

Signing the severance package is trading money for your silence. You can't talk sh– about the company, you gotta do your job until your last day, etc. So, if you want the money, you sign it. It's not rocket science. Read the agreement.

If there are any lawsuits planned, steal the Law and Legal Media lists as that might be helpful to gain media traction

Have you heard of anyone not accepting the severance and if so, any luck with lawsuits? Employees should get together and plan for this instead of signing their rights away after being blindsided.

HR doesn’t care about the employees. The hr team is unethical and there will be lawsuits!
