We did a lot for members but Humana didn’t do anything for any reason other then what was needed in order to not look callus and cold . AND in order to down the road, get some kind of stimulus from government.
Layoffs will surely follow .

We all have to admit that it’s pretty amazing that Humana has put all our members above profits. I can honestly say I’m proud to work for them. The members need us all right now no matter was department or segment we work in.

You do know that isn’t true. We didn’t contact all the folks we were supposed to contact. Per my coach, stopping overtime was a very sudden decision to save on costs. Not ungrateful for what we have. We are extremely fortunate. My husband is currently out of work due to the industry he is in. I am very thankful for my job and the ability to work from home. I’m just being realistic. I know they will need to continue to cut costs. This pandemic is unprecedented and not financially planned for. Health insurers are taking a huge hit. They will get this money back by increasing premium costs and cutting mass jobs. It probably won’t happen until Q4.

Omg. Get a grip. Don’t you have better things to do in the world right now than gossip. I hope you are not a nurse. Millions without jobs. Humana offered overtime to help contact the most vulnerable and as if yesterday those buckets were all contacted. You are getting special pto. Financial assistance if you are a care giver. And there is more on the horizon. How about in this bleak time we pray for our country and be thankful we still have a pay check. If it ducks so bad go get a bandana and go to the front line. I am sure they need folks.

Of course layoffs will come. Due to the pandemic, Humana is going to have to reconsider everything, to stay in a good financial position.

They are expecting approximately 100,000 deaths from this but that is purely an assumption at this point. I doubt all of those deaths are people with Humana insurance. I am more concerned about where the money comes from when they waive all fees associated with Covid-19. Only time will tell.

What segment of Humana has stopped overtime?
