Thread regarding Bass Pro Shops layoffs

How bad can this get?

I can't afford to lose my job right now, not for a week, not to mention a month or more. I keep thinking I am safe (even if I am exposed to the coronavirus risk every day) but then I keep hearing about people losing their jobs constantly. Two here, three there... And then I hear some towns and states are ordering their Bass Pro Shops stores closed. Are we going to come to a point where we have to close all the stores as well? That would be completely devastating for me and my family.

Every state has been different. The two stores in PA are closed. However, the managers and a small group of volunteer associates are still working doing curbside pickup, omni orders, unloading trucks, and ISP firearms by appointment only for customers. The ones not working are allowed to file unemployment until the state stay at home order is lifted. We are responsible for paying our benefits by either submitting vacation days or getting double deductions when we go back.

The PA stores have been closed since mid March. Several of us are expecting some sort of permanent layoff after things return to "normal" due to all the money the company will lose due to being closed.
