2008 bailout money from tax payers. 2020 less than 6 months of a pandemic while still meeting/exceeding Q2 profit margins. There’s no “tough decisions” it’s an opportunity that is all. Zero loyalty not only to their employees but also the tax payers that bail them out.

Are they being impacted by the current pandemic? Wonder where the layoffs are?

I haven't heard any specifics of layoffs recently, but I've seen talk of them here and elsewhere. What departments and seniorities?

Hammer came down today on some very good people. Sad to see The Hartford choose this path. Very short sighted in my opinion.

That townhall meeting a couple weeks back basically sealed the deal. They are deff going to have a major layoff. “We will have to make tough decisions but will do it with dignity”. Yeah thanks Chris for saying y’all have a couple months left till we let you go. Also they’re pushing PTO and saying it’s for “mental health” or “don’t want to have everyone take PTO all at once after Covid”. I’ve heard this before and experienced it.. They just don’t want to pay out your damn PTO when they let you go. Who the hell would take PTO when virtually everyone is working from home anyways. This company makes you work endless hours and measures you on metrics and then dumps you right after. Waiting on that severance package which will come very soon

Current employee and they mini micro at the Hartford at its finest. Lies, lies and more lies. I feel a big layoff is coming but they claims when they hear anything we will. Poor management of the company I came from Aetna through acquisition to the Hartford worst mistake. It's all about how the customer rates you that determines your raise and bonus, what kind of cr-p is that.. So I bust my behind working countless hours for you to tell me I might not get a raise depending on my rating from the customer get the heck out of here with that cr-p. Another way of them not paying out to their employees who is the frontline of the company. I'm sick of this mess and planning an exit.

It’s the Hartford’s business model to layoff, hire up and layoff again. Bell curve. Push people to bottom and move them out. Poor quality work environment

I’m hearing big layoffs are coming our way.. such a shame since the hartford was on a good streak for some time. I heard the Risk Engineers are going first. No offense but they’re seen as an expense to the company.. so grab the money while you can or start looking for jobs!!
