Thread regarding W.W. Grainger Inc. layoffs

Furloughs coming?

I see that there is a current program where folks can volunteer to not work and not be paid to handle their family needs. The email mentions that people doing (not working and not getting paid) that this will be potentially helping Grainger by opening up funds so they do not have to furlough another employee who does need to continue working.

What do you think the chances are of Grainger Sales staff being furloughed in the near future until we get back to business as normal?

Scary times!

Any word on when Grainger plans to call back their furloughed team members? Is there a chance that it runs through July 31 or longer?

They already started furloughs effective April 24.

The first who will be impacted by this are the hourly employees. Sales are going to be the last to go.
