Thread regarding Nordstrom layoffs

Ambiguous WARN Notice Received

I received a formal WARN notice in the mail dated 6/17/20. My final day of employment was 6/19/20. In addition the end date in the letter stated “We anticipate your separation date will be June 19, 2020 or during the fourteen day period after that date.”
What in the heck does that mean? Very ambiguous and I need to know actual information and dates not “anticipated” for unemployment. I honestly think that HR fumbled the lay-off process. Anyone else get mixed messages?

I agree with you. Your letter of lay off is not coherent with total ambiguity... not professional. Also did you receive your letter just two days before your last day?

Pretty much hr can’t get their sh*t together. It’s time to move on. I’m looking for another job myself. Wish me luck. U hv a wonderful journey, my friend. Stay strong
