So they are now requiring all US employees to carry corporate phones for contract tracing purposes. I am in the office for my shift this week, our exec spent 2 hrs in the office so far.

What is a googler doing lurking here? Are you lost? Go leetcode maybe you can crack Tiktok.
No consequences. I wfh everyday not fired yet. I dare them to. My lawyer says I will get to retire if they do it. Bring it Broadcom !!!
I shut it off when I leave and only turn it on when I arrive. Don't believe anything they say about tracking or not watching your personal email or text. It is their phone, they can see everything. Prague does not have to deal with this. Ask yourself why.
@BroadcomHRIsHocksErrandBitch umm...they are tracking. you'll understand consequences later...have fun...Google just extended WFH til June 2021. CYA...
I work at innovation. We have not been coming in since April. Nobody cares we are untouchable. HR isn’t doing badge checks.

ha...there have been so many bugs with that app it's a freakin joke. the dummies should have tested it first before deploying. but Broadcon is so goddamn stubborn having their employees "go back to work". it's hilarious that the internal webpage for this is called "back to work". what the f— did Tock Han think people were doing. such a clusterF for you guys. glad i left and sorry you are putting up with the b.s.
and you're surprised...? when will you people learn that customers and employees are a necessary evil at BroadCon. i left last summer after the announce after speaking to some friends. i hear many clients are p-ss-d at the treatment by Tan regime. apparently deals terms are getting shorter and shorter... wait for it..
@2erc+15DyHAdb. they don't care if you take a leak, if you take a dump they will care. you'll be charged back for any toilet paper and seat covers you'll use. in fact, i heard they'll be updating the App later this summer with a payments feature. one foot of TP is about $0.50. some sites will dispense a foot per scan. other sites will have a QR code on each sheet. you'll scan each sheet as you pull it out. discharge rates will also be monitored. $0.05 per loaf. any loaf longer than a foot will be subject to a $5.00 surcharge.
seat covers are $1.25.
I'm sorry, but this is beyond creepy. I do not want to carry a phone on me for 8+ hours a day, and I certainly don't want it tracking me every time I go and take a leak.
heard something will be announced early next week, effective the following week. no details...? ideas anyone?
So many bitter ex Broadcom grade 3s trolling this board. Move on already. Only a r—ded would change jobs in this environment. Last hired first fired. We all about collecting them RSU's with WLB. And before you tell us all about how much better your new job is after leaving Broadcom, just know you are just another cog in the machine no matter where you are
Broadcom has many employees that are lazy, not at all talented and lack the chops to pass any technical interview. Allowing these delinquents to work from is like giving them a paid vacation. All other tech companies are working from home until next year. Some are highly considering permanent. So how can Broadcom get away with being such an ahole? Simple. Because they can. Nobody will quit because if you could you would have done it precovid and the more people quit now the more severance they don’t have to pay.
just another way to minimize any litigation. if you get sick, they'll just look at your movements and say it's you're problem getting too close to someone...LMFAO...
glad to be dearly departed...
