Thread regarding Apache Corp. layoffs

Worth its own post - Management NEEDS to read this and take it seriously

From another thread

Apache will, under current conditions, very soon be looking at an exhausted staff if it isn’t already. We’ve had years of talent walking out the door, promoting more to our manager ranks, laying off workers at the bottom, and then ceasing almost all hiring. What’s left? An organization (it seems like) comprising 3 or managers/directors/whatever to every one worker, on average.

The company needs to demote approx 70% of our managerial staff to “working” status so we don’t burn out. I am so bogged down by multiple projects that it’s impossible to do a thorough, good job in any one of them. It’s the classic analogy to the rowing team. We’ve got 2 oarsmen in the boat and 7 coxswains giving them row commands, and are still confused as to why we aren’t faster than crews stacked appropriately.

I can see nothing much has changed since I worked for Apache back in the 90's. Pure sweat shop.

As a non operating partner, and 4 decades operator myself, the staff at Apache has done a terrible job of not only managing properties but of gouging the non operators with tons of bs charges so that ONLY APACHE has a chance to make money. when legacy floods have lost money for years, and 75% of the charges in on the jib are from Apache in house, this indicates there is no longer operating integrity in the company. This appears to be a rapid disease in the industry thanks to Copas, what a joke. Apache will go the way of Chesapeake and the others...so hang on for the ride....as many of you too will be joining the employment line this year and next. the good old days and frivolous days are over. for good. word is Walmart is hiring.

The burn out is exponential to say the least. And it occurring with EVERY level, not just front line employees. These are unprecedented times across the globe. It’s time to focus on real priorities and what this organization has been successful with and who has made it happen.
