Thread regarding Johnson Controls Inc. layoffs

Are layoffs done now?

I'm hearing huge numbers, between 5 and 10k given their walking papers in the past two weeks. If that's true, I'd wager we're done, but you can never be sure.

In my division (I am not in the Americas) layoffs started in q2 through mid June. Many people still on furloughs. But it seems that q4 the focus will be more in performance rather than layoffs. And then who knows..until the economy is back on track I think layoffs will be the new normal.

From what I can tell, if you can make it through the last quarter, you’re safe. I’ve been here less than 3 years but employees who have been here 25+ are getting axed. I’m in the NA BS division.

Maybe done for this quarter. George will fire everyone if that's what it takes to save his way to profit. Then they'll wonder why they can't grow after gutting the workforce and just cut it some more. It's all he knows. Look what he did to GE and Legacy Tyco.

They have to have it done by the end of Quarter so if you make it to 7/1 you should be safe.

For now. Until ol' George gets an itch again.
