Thread regarding Frontier Communications Corp. layoffs

Just wondering if Frontier is ever going to get their sh*t together?

They keep us in the dark as well as the union!

Any wireline business is and has been in decline for quite sometime. Landlines have been on decline for 20 years. TV doesn’t make money ( it’s still doesn’t make money if you try and become a streaming only company) content costs money and margins are non existent. And data is looked at like power and water now. People see it as a utility not as a luxury. All you can do is manage the decline. You will not grow with more competition for data services. Coming 5g etc

Frontier is a P.O.S...company...they c-ap on everything that they have taken over. Until the Union and the Company get their heads out of each other's asses, there will be no future.

If they are keeping you in the dark it’s because you are nonessential to their plans. Won’t be long till you figure it out. Then again...

Wow you have Amazon Prime video! That’s just as good as having 400 channels on your Ultimate TV package!

I have been a Frontier customer since 2016, when they bought CTF areas, my contract expires next month so I was referred to the retention dept as my bill just keeps going up, so they 1st tell me we can't quote you a price until your contract expires, however if you do terminate before July 30th (30 days left on my contract) we will have to charge you an early $60 termination fee. They said you are currently getting a $50 discount even though my bill has gone from $109 to $149, to $179. If I do nothing my bill goes up to $230 when my contract expires. This is what Frontier does not get, they exist because of the customer, not the other way around. So I will drop all the set top boxes, and ultimate TV pkg, HBO, Showtime and just keep the high speed FiOS internet, as I have Amazon Prime Video. They keep losing customers, have filed for bankruptcy and who really knows if they will survive with their backward thinking we can keep raising prices, customers don't have any choices and they will not leave. BTW I was asked to participate in a customer service survey at the end of the call as they wanted to see how they were doing - geez

Companies that keep you in the dark do so for one reason, they don’t have a good plan or vision that they can communicate to their employees and expect them to execute.
