I was laid off recently and haven't heard from anyone in management about returning my laptop or badge. Do I just drop it off at the front desk or security office? I don't want these jerks to charge me up the wazoo for the laptop.

This is a very valid point....
Place on desk chair or if youve been laid off ..the recliner ....then sit on it!
No one cares about the laptop ..how about everything else...
Like what Jack Burton will do in this situation
Download all the viruses, specially the Chinese viruses and watch the pandemic grow
Well for what it's worth...open it up power on...logon to MrGPizza.com or .net order you a slice or 2..then kick back and watch a lil p*RN and call it even. Nah just kidding idk have fun

Still have my phone, laptop, radio, tractor keys, badge, etc. Never sent a label and I even emailed them when i was let go Early April.
Keep it. Company is a giant bureaucracy and cannot keep track of such minor items during the pandemic. If they send the box then send them the laptop, otherwise no harm no foul to you as it isn't your job to chase them down at this point in time. I was laid off from SLB in early April and still have my laptop with no consequence that I know of. I got all the severance that was owed to me already so it isn't like they can still withhold any money.
I never got my box. Try contacting the HR rep for a shipping label.
Was laid off on cinco de Mayo. Took about a month for them to send me a FedEx envelope to return my stuff in.
