SO CAL techs and other hourly employees have no leverage. When FTR was hinting of bankruptcy calls, went to VM. HAHA, thanks for that left in FEB

Absolutely correct, let’s see how this sh– show unfolds. CA techs think there is some magical “No Lay-off” clause in there contract. LOL! Get ready and put extra butter on the popcorn.

Left in Jan and spoke to other techs in other yards in So CAL . Some techs actually thought the lump sum was in their current contract and couldn't be taken away due bankruptcy. Also, with their "seniority" wouldn't get laid off. The useless union weren't around to answer questions. Now everyone is in purgatory until a decision is made

LaFawnduh, you need to talk the way they do in the Tampa call center for us to take you seriously. Everyone knows in that building they say “Ax” not “Asks”.

My coach told me If we all just continuously follow the call flow and are able to demonstrate to our customers the benefits of our superior products the company will be turning a profit in no time and more jobs will be created!!!

To the jackass’s who discredit good solid information.
1) Most likely a overtime wh–e who cant get over the fact the OT utter will get chopped soon. How will you pay all your debts?
2) Most likely does the minimum at work and always out of route.
3) Most likely at Costco right now buying more then he can afford including hoarding toilet paper and water. dumb–s!

All the LCOMS and ACOMS that come on here and bash hourly for taking this company down. You have a point. The OT wh–es dug a ditch so deep at the beginning of the transition, FTR didn’t know what hit them. Multiple hourly made 130K-155K on OT that didn’t even make sense. Techs staying out till 12 at night and not even resolving issues. It was disgusting and disturbing on what was going on. FTR paid out millions in hourly wages that had no productivity towards customer resolution. 😞 😔 😢

FLORIDA: From what I understand they will get no contract. Death of the Tampa dynasty. Out of CTF, Tampa was the largest GTE city right ahead of Long Beach, CA. In Florida’s case it was just bad timing. Hopefully some of you could get on with Century Link or ATT.

CALIFORNIA: With a gloomy housing and overall economic forecast due to the governor’s COVID19 restrictions the future points in the direction of layoffs. Crown Castle currently working 7 days a week expanding 5G fiber all over GTE footprint in California. CWA and members seem to be in denial of the SHOCK coming after August 11th. Sad thing is California still has an alarming amount of techs with 30+ years who opted to stay and miss out on the lump sum. Debt will destroy you.....

TEXAS: With it’s business friendly tax cuts I think Frontier has really settled in quite well. Rumors of Frontier moving its head quarters from Connecticut to Texas have seem to gain traction. Texas techs scored a damn good contract in the last negotiations and that goes to show how the State has moved on up in the last decade. HR has managed hiring well with not saturating yards with too many employees. With out a doubt, Texas seems to be the safest bet.

Florida’s union employees will be the first to go that’s almost a guarantee at this point. The union workers make too much money given the standard wage companies pay for those type of jobs in that state. They are grossly overpaid for what they actually do in most cases. The ones who will complain are the ones with limited skillsets. This is about 60 to 70% of the Florida union workforce. The rest will finally realize that there is life after being let go and will embrace being forced to better themselves with other companies that actually value their workers and reward them for working hard instead of treating them like garbage day in and day out which is the Frontier way.

Well since Florida’s union contract is on a 90 day notice I could see the company notifying them. That would put the last day in November before health ins is renewed

All depends on your contract and how long Frontier will stretch out their bankruptcy plans, and how many government loopholes the can take advantage of

right before christmas, you high senior guys with 25+ years will go on being worthless until you retire with your annuity, people with less than 15 years you're probably out of here. People in between, get ready to be realign to some isolated place to backfill. have a conversation with your union don't go to those demonstration their useless. you want information so you can plan accordingly
