So, I can confirm the rumors that Lowe’s is deliberately cutting back on full time associates. I saw an email that my store manager left open on a computer in one of the offices. It was about approving some recent postings of positions in the store. In it there was a sentence about making sure that our full time percentage didn’t exceed 45%.
“ (Market HR director) is monitoring our staffing level closely to ensure that we can speak to staffing levels and to ensure that the FT percentage does not exceed 45%.”
That’s a direct quote from the email that the district talent manager sent to our store manager. So when they tell you that they aren’t keeping full time positions to a minimum, you can tell them that they are full of sh*t.
