Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

My company sent me a care package!

I’ve seen several LinkedIn posts with current employees sharing pics of “care packages” with purell, wipes, etc. “I love how my company takes care of us, blah blah blah.” Yeah, except for the thousands they fired. And you’re next—regardless of a few dollars worth of c-ap. When they get rid of SB, KM and others and keep MR and RQD. It won’t be long now. Better conserve that purell. It’ll be the last good thing SPLS does for you. lol

Whoever commented on BE is spot on. There is no strategy. Sell paper and that’s about it.

I don’t think RQD Is still with the company? BE is the worst performing category and haven’t seen any strategy to turn it around. Have seen a couple of linked in posts that were non work related and only self promoting. How many VP and directors do you need for a category that’s declining at such an alarming pace? Haven’t heard or seen anything relevant from that Category Leadership team to date.

OMG I'm glad I'm not the only one who absolutely hates RQD's posts. Like girl, you worked at Staples back in the mid 2000's when things were great. How can you be so happy now? Yuck.

No toxic nature here. Just experience from working at SPLS and seeing the multiple rounds of cuts. How many has it been since SP acquired the company? I guess they are cutting their way to prosperity and profitability!

Someone has an ax to grind. Your toxic nature is likely the reason you no longer work for the company.
