Everyone that’s concerned about being open and working during this pandemic should consider their career path. There are people that are still furloughed (which is NOT their choice), unemployment is about to be reduced (and save the “oh, but they’re receiving more money on unemployment doing nothing”... news flash- that AIN’T TRUE FOR EVERYONE! )... and the job market is [email protected] right now. Not everyone is hiring FT at a decent paying wage to transition to. And before you trolls come out of the bushes- yes, jobs are hiring FT and at decent salaries but it is not an easy task in the middle of a pandemic when millions of Americans are fighting for the same thing. It’s not an easy task when you’re a parent with kids who will not be returning to classrooms and the job is not remote or has no flexibility.
So for those associates that complain about being open and having a job and a pay check and want to start a movement to shut everything down again- SAVE IT! If you don’t want your job or physically cannot work with the public, then quit and stay home. Be thankful you have a job. Be thankful you have an income you can rely on. Be thankful you don’t have to worry about an unemployment budget running out. Be thankful you can have a paycheck and still look for something better. Be thankful... PERIOD!!
