I'm hearing raises/promos have been delayed again from September to December/January again this year even though it was supposed to be a on time temporary thing last year. Can anyone confirm or have any additional info?

Anytime WD takes something from you under the pretense of temporary, KNOW it WILL be permanent. "If we saved $20M last year cutting bonuses, heck, cut $40M this year by going straight to pay cuts!" Such is the mindset of WD management...
Any speaks up with "this was supposed to be temporary" they get "you can always be replaced".
Actual words from a WD SVP: "If you don't want your job to go overseas, make yourself valuable". That was met with "how do we compete with value when compared to the overseas wages?" To which the SVP replied "Well that's a business decision that just has to happen sometimes"... which was followed by a mass of US layoffs 30 days later while about 200 new job postings for SDSM came up on the website...
STI is funded at minimum 50% of target (they announced this before). ACR is delayed (or possibly eliminated for Indirects). LTI should be still on track for Sept.
Lucky you have a job at WDC. Promotions and STI are on hold. Until next round of layoffs...
