Thread regarding Lenovo layoffs

Left in 2017, but I am glad that I did

I left Lenovo back in 2017 (took voluntary leave offer) and at the moment I was terrified. I worked a contract job for 18 months, but finally I was able to get another job.

Unfortunately, the skills that I learned at Lenovo did not translate as the skills needed for a job at another company. If you are still employed, try to get additional training, look what is around and what is needed for those jobs. I learned the hard way, but it is never too late to learn.

Glad that you also left. There is always a fear that you may not find a job right away, but there is always hope.

Good for you. The smart ones know they are being treated like garbage. I got out too and never looked back. If you want an environment that destroys your life physically, mentally, emotionally, then feel free to go there. It can cost you everything to work there: family, friends, and even your life. When I was there an Exec died in the office because of it and a co-worker did. It's not worth it at all.
