They will never make It.

I am in the business. I have hired alot of guys and, two from UTI have survived. Out of maybe 100 people over the last 10 years. Both of them were MSAT grads. Now, there are other schools up and coming. The OEM,s have excellent training programs accessible to their dealers. They would rather hire a guy from community college and send them to OEM training after they have proved their worth. Hell, one OEM uses UTI and their staff but allows dealers to put techs through the program. UTI is given first crack at filling the classes but cant get quality people to attend. The OEM is forced to go out and find their own techs to put into a UTI program. What the hell are they doing? Why don't they have enough good people to fill less than 100 seats a year in a program that only benefits the student and UTI? Why, because they don’t have smart people running the place and will squander what little they have left to make a profit. Too bad.
Giving out laptops will not solve the piss poor education they are dulling out.

Most UTI instructors still have flip phones and have no idea how to use a computer, let alone teach online. This train wreck is going to be fun to watch.

If UTI and other for profit skilled programs are going to "blended" models then kiss them goodbye unless they will lower the price. You can go to a community college for a ton cheaper and do the "blended" model.

We wrote “blended” learning for them in 2008-2010 and put alot into it. They were just too stupid to roll it out everywhere. Thank a guy whose name sounds like Wayne Flamer. He is a stupid man that squandered a opportunity to put UTI out in front. Now, they are playing catch up. Nice job.

The whole sales pitch by UTI reps is we teach you in a lab and we are not a traditional college. Now they are teaching future "mechanics" online. This c-ap show needs to be shut down and funding taken away.
