Curious as to how much has been saved through the reduced hydro rates. The “ youre lucky you still have a job “ line is getting old. We’ve been threatened with layoffs since enbridge took over. Also is anyone in Canada claiming home office costs for tax season ?

Lol you have no idea what you're talking about. The salary cuts and project cuts are part of the 300M in cuts. And base salary is only part of full compensation. You only posted that BS "3000" to scare people. You're a horrible person
Do the math, s—ers! $300 million, and about $100k each in salary, that’s 3000!!!

A lot of employees work there because of family connections. Daughters, sons, nephews etc. Etc. 1/3 of employees should be laid off and the company will still survive better and stronger. Enbridge employees don’t know what work is!!!!! Say good bye to all those middle managers that are not necessary. Enbridge has too many chiefs not enough workers.
Would be interesting to see the savings from VPs who report to VPs, or Directors reporting to Directors in corporate functions. Seems like a good area to trim costs and limit impact to the front line.
I would guesstimate between 20 - 30 Million, based on about 1500 people traveling per month. During Const. season, that number could easily double...
How much have they saved in travel expenses in just the past 3 months? It would be interesting to see that number

It’s generally minorities first, and then women.
It has long been understood that women disproportionately bear the brunt of layoffs in the oil and gas industry. “Literature” is not needed to explain the reasons, which include the types of jobs (the majority of) women hold in industry companies, and their comparative lack of clout, influence and powerful friends in these companies. The situation at Enbridge is no different.
No one is being "forced out," at least at this point. If you're leaving the company in this round it will be because you decided to accept a severance package and you won the lottery for departure slots.
What literature suggests more females than males?
The literature suggests that there will be a higher proportion of females than males forced out in the company. It will be fascinating to analyze the reasons for this eventuality, should it turn out to be the case.

If they wanted to save $300MM, they should just close offices and force remote work. Seems to be a no brainer. But instead, they choose to get rid of people..
If they wanted to reduce 300 million this year they had the option to cut the dividend by 19% and not have to cut anybody’s wages or voluntary layoffs.
Suncor and She’ll cut their dividend by 50-55% so a 19% cut would have been looked after somewhat favourable in that light.

They are looking to reduce costs by $300 million. I am guessing more like a 10 to 15% reduction in force. This would mean around 1,300 to 1,700 employees departing.
My guess would be around 5%-10%
