Problem is that we have a billionaire owner who has created a good old boys system. They are a dinosaur and they can not adapt to the changes fast enough. Giving employees more clout is not something I bet they even have thought about.
BassPro/Cabelas has maybe three good years left on their balance sheet. Scheels is the future of the industry and employee owned. Look them up. This is how a free market system operates-when the leader in an industry gets greedy and is lax on customer service, doesn't educate employees on product and sells only credit, it prepares its eventual demise. Managers and corporate get paid well and are aloof to real concerns.
