Most of SSD group in LCO laid off today.

Unofficial count: About 120 from tco and about 100 from lco. Said goodbye to many long time friends and coworkers.

Confirm that Shakopee was impacted today. Based on the collective names so far I would estimate 10% (HDD), but it's really hard to get any kind of count with so many working from home now. Sounds like Shakopee SSD is/was hit very badly, but everyone is still waiting for the dust to settle on that.

Worked out well and am happy for the ones that were ready to go, but really tough to hear of the others.

We're expecting the official email tomorrow announcing plans to move remaining TCO groups to RHO.

In 2008 and 2009 there were 2 big waves. January and May.

The severance usually depends on tenure. If less than 10 years one week per year. If more than something 2 weeks per year.

Is it universally 1 week per year after "knowledge transfer" until Aug 1?

Got hit this round? May not be so bad after all.
Next round, there may not be a severance. Unsure if the ones that are "lucky" to stay around is really lucky.

Engineering and Ops take the brunt - Little Tin God has finally crumbled. I am hearing this is just wave 1.

Bummer for everyone involved. It was typically 2 weeks per year. Best of luck to those who lost their job today.

It looks like they are giving 2 weeks base plus 1 week for every full year of employment. I have heard that they are extending the last day until August - so a couple extra months of pay too.

NRM lost a couple people, mostly slider and third floor though.
