Denbury should have fired the spineless, sissies in management who are running the company into the ground!

PR got $7 million to leave. Heard he has since left wife #6 and cut his assets in half again.
We are here because of PR’s bad desicions, any one that has worked here long enough knows that.
M’s accounting and IT teams are stupid big. Any HR people who gave a darn about people are gone. The head of HR hides out behind the executives & hasn’t made eye contact with an employee in years. CK won’t make a decision & picked buddies instead of talent for a leadership team. Can’t guess why were here.
Funny how fast people forget the days when HR cared about us. W WAS the culture and helped the leadership know what the right thing to do was. Sad it took an HR person to do that. Today, it’s a lying dishonest free for all. Even if you’re didn’t like the answers, I knew I wasn’t being lied to and that they were trying to do the right thing.
Every single department at the corporate office can be outsourced.
Sorry but this HR/Gossip Girl’s group is garbage. What they provide can easily be contracted out.
There is only 1 person in HR that makes decisions so stop blaming them for everything wrong with this company!!!
So original. Pick on HR. Why not Engineers or Accountants??
Oh yes-the company is so much better with this group of HR people. Hated it back when they actually cared about us or when the c-ap they rolled out actually was right.
All expenditures will have to be approved through the courts once bankruptcy is filed.
That is also a possibility.
I heard when they file bankruptcy there will be no packages including those furloughed.
Word is that it’s coming really soon.
Presumably the furloughed employees will either be re-hired, or will get a "package" (whatever it is) at the time they are let go permanently.
When I first started to work in Denbury there were only 2-3 HR people. When they started expanding and hiring more people into HR and brought in outside management is when Denbury started going down the tubes.
Furloughed people got no package. They just file for unemployment so it looks like the “packages” of the past aren’t happening.
If you have shut in fields, you don’t need as much for support groups like IT, Accounting, Supply Chain etc. but nice try.
There are jobs out there if you look and everyone should be. CK said in the video doesn’t know what the future holds.
Good luck, millions are jobless
What was the purpose of letting people go at this point? How could the few that got let go help reduce G& A by any significant amount. For those of us left keeps us on edge and those let go will have an extremely hard time finding a job.
I am thankful I still have a job but am looking.
Still fat to be trimmed with any other group.
Both of which are still needed in a distributed, digital workforce with still the same amount of reports, filings, and systems, no? Barrels and headcount might shrink but we still need to log into all the software and have to report same amount of info to the SEC, equity investors, bond holders, external auditors, etc
There were none in IS or Accounting
I heard at least one in IT/IS
2 in HR
0 from IS. Why do they need so many ppl?
I think they lost at least 1.
I wonder how many HR people are even needed for this many employees. Don’t know what if that group was hit or not this round. Anyone know?
The executives make the decision and they don’t know people and their work. The head of HR never talks so how would she even know who people are when these layoffs happen.
Weakest leadership I’ve ever seen at any employer. I had hope for CK being a strong leader but he’s surrounded himself with a incompetent Team.
