Our new schedule just came out, they are forcing the bottom 4 guys to every Saturday with a day off of Sundays and Wednesdays.
Any other field techs schedule look like this?
Everyone else is Monday- Friday

Hey seniority Mon, Ive had the experienced of being realigned and put on late shift being low man on the totem pole. At the same time i've seen guys with more seniority lazy [email protected]#ng it, knowing nothing will happen to them, I'm sure your saw it, unless of course you're one of those guys. Also, you mention you're a 30 year guy, well you should have left. Your pension in a lump sum will no longer be available, good luck with your 80% annuity, By the way, I'm glad your seniority is working out well for you. Have fun taking the major holidays off. I left with 30+ years in Feb with my lump sum. Again have fun after Aug 11, personally, I can't wait.

Hey anti seniority id–t. After you have been realigned(LIKE ME) to another yard 100 miles away on 1 weeks notice because of my low seniority Then work there 2 years and finally get to come back to your original yard and get put on the late shift for outside plant for 3 years. Then you have earned the rite because of your seniority not to have to work c-appy shifts, Everyone started out as the low man and went thru it and gained seniority by putting in their time so quit your b–ching and one day you will be 30 year tech at the top of the list.

When you reach the top of your crew’s seniority list remember to volunteer for that split or late shift that doesn’t offer any extra pay. If you don’t, you’re just a hypocrite.

Like I said EARNED everything, no hypocrisy here. If you have 25+ years, you should have left. FTR gave hints 2 years ago and told you Jan16 this year "bankruptcy." You'll never get the lump sum regardless what other people say, then again you do have this concept the union has sold you, "seniority." I'm glad you'll have Christmas off along with the major holidays, go ahead and keep looking at your job as a cow and keep milking it as long as you can. Congratulations your union brothers are certainly proud of your accomplishments.

Welcome to telecom.....i cant think of a single telecom tech who hasnt had to work a weekend, a double shift, a swing, a staggered shift or some other odd ball shift to meet the needs of the business and the customer. If you wanted to work Monday thru Friday 8-5, you chose the wrong career.

cwa1298 is a complete joke, they are more worried about keeping jobs they are not qualified for. Simple sacrifice to make to keep a job you dont deserve. Instead of complaining about schedules, maybe be grateful you still have a job.

Well CWA1298 gave away the rights to control or have input of scheduling to the company....if you voted yes to the contract, you only have yourself a o blame.

well. when i was a tech i had to work 10-7 with tuesday and wednesday off for a year. it happens.

Every day at work is a vacation day for techs. All they do is miss appointments and sleep in their vans SMDH
