Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

All the talent’s gone... or leaving!

Look at who’s left MP in Canada in the last 2-3 years!
Staggering.

Curious as to what industry you went to when you left Enbridge.

I used to work there before I got pushed out. I used to love coming to work every day, and was a high performer.
I took my severance and left the industry and found a great job in another industry in less than a month.
Too bad that ENB has gone so far downhill.

It really is a shell of what used to be two good companies with authentic people and passion. Now just a fake company, with fake leadership, fake relationships and fake Yammer posts. Funny how it went from a place to build a proud career to now just collecting a paycheck (and that's not even worth staying for anymore). What a shame.

Amen to that post!! Large holes are developing in our pipelines literally and figuratively. Tar sands are circling the drain and we are too. Bad week of news again. Line 3 delay, stopped well into construction in Weymouth, more c-appy coating in the straits of mackinaw. But hey, the dividend will increase one way or another.

All true and that is why I have volunteered to be laid off. If I don't get it I honestly don't know if I will be able to return to the office. This company is a shell of what it used to be.

Agreed that there has been a huge "Brain Drain" within the Company in the past 3-5 years. Your comment fell short however in only looking at MP and to Canada as the example.
Operations, LP, GTM, and the entire US half of the company, (and the list goes on), have also experienced a loss of talent and knowledge! Many are gone. Many have remained in body, but have left in soul!

Unfortunately, there was never a successful transfer of experience and knowledge within the workforce. Experience retired, left, or was pushed out. Young energy, but without critical experience, became disillusioned and left, gave up, or got BOEF'ed as well.
Current result:. One HUGE gap in pipeline systems operation experience!
But it's all good, because the Corporate Balance sheets have kept the Board of Directors happy... Though there will come a day when the numbers will no longer be able to prop up the Company, and the people will no longer be around to help improve the numbers.
All Employees have been reminded over and over in these past 5-6 years, that it isn't about the people, it is about the balance sheet and the stock prices.
