Thread regarding Deloitte layoffs

Global CEO tweets...

If you can believe after laying off 5% of their people, destroying careers and lives in the midst of a pandemic, the Global CEO tweets “@Deloitte has a long history of helping our people, clients and communities thrive through wars, recessions and pandemics. #Resilience is a part of our DNA as we continue to make an impact in the age of #COVID19. #Deloitte175”.

How are you helping anyone thrive through this pandemic?

Deloitte is a super small firm in its thinking and leadership. it still is trying to behave like it is the early 80s. People dont want to welcome anyone new into the firm especially at the manager and sr manager levels.

The most obscure firm with cliques. It is impossible to get into a clique irrespective of how many years you work (read survive) there. If you are not in one with a loud partner leading it you are just counting days until layoff. the chargeability does not matter.

The leadership is NOT progressive at all that they claim to be. in fact if you are a dictator that will be a yesman, join here

There are no bad teams, only bad leaders and he is a great example of a tone deaf one. I was on a call with Senior Leaders announcing layoffs and having the audacity to laugh a few seconds later. The fact that they built the firm in a manner that would allow this to happen is shameful, as these layoffs arent happening to EY, KPMG, PWC.

I hope clients see through this spineless firm and partnership and not give any more contracts. If you are working hard and have passion to solve client's problems, you are in the wrong place. Just go to PwC or E&Y. They are better at this time - hopefully PwC and E&Y will continue to be good. I am sure i will not hire Deloitte for any of my contracts.
