Thread regarding Sprint layoffs

Has anybody from T Mobile been laid off?

Or is this round reserved for just us? And are we done or can we expect even more today?

In my new combined team (i.e., post merger before layoffs), most of the recent layoffs occurred on the TMo side. None of the legacy yellow team members were let go. But I'm aware that isn't the case with other groups/teams as it varied widely. I'm aware that TMo's prepaid team (Metro) was hit hard.

We haven't heard anything about the Facilities departments. Like the FM's the FC's. Or the contractors positions from CBRE or Great Plains. Its scary looking at this from all angles. From all positions big or small. To wonder if you or someone you have worked along side of is next. And without notice or good reason.

Yes, in the IT organization they have made 14 Directors redundant, meaning they have to look for another position within the company before their termination date or they become former employees. Those positions were declared redundant.

Campus is the CORRECT term used to describe a group of adjacent office buildings with centralized support and on-site amenities.

T-Mobile filed WARN notice with the state of Kansas and laid off employees from these buildings at its Overland Park campus this week; 6100, 6160, 6180, 6200, 6450, 6480 T-Mobile Parkway. This is a legal statement of fact and public record, and is important information for the people who actually work there to know.

Campus ? Oh you mean the one that Sprint sold in 2019 and now just rents? Time to face the music that Sprint made enough bad business decisions that it was not profitable.

They filed a WARN notice for Kansas on 6/17 covering 241 OP campus positions eliminated this week. Continue to monitor this in Kansas as well as other states for a more complete picture of layoff totals. So far, no WARN posted for Washington state.

I agree the wait or pause in these situations is terrible. Do we even have a guess of what extent they are looking for in terms of ex Sprint employee layoffs in numbers or percentage? Do we expect that they might wipe off the Sprint campus totally? if so whats the guess on time line?

Yes. Several Zone managers and Territory managers on the Tmo and Metro side were cut. But majority have been from Legacy Sprint.

I hate not knowing...the wait seems worst than any possible result.
