Seagate Springtown has benefitted massively from a lot of the Northern ireland statutory bodies, not just Invest NI.The new fab was supposed to cement Seagates future in Springtown for years to come.Are we now saying that it may not now happen? I work in Springtown and I have not heard anything about it.
To last post are you serious keep calm. Millions already spent on UK extension project now to be parked up.
The project in Springtown was to be supported with a grant of almost £10m from Invest NI.
Will this money be repaid or be used to create new jobs in US. Let's make America great again project.
Clearly wheels in motion for seagate to have more choices moving forward post Covid 19 impact.
Developing UK Brexit mess may also play into this decision.

Serious concerns in Springtown as to commitment.
Calm down a bit. IMO, the expense is involved with closing SHK and integration to the NRM (the new MNC.) I highly doubt they would have any strategy to permanently close one site or the other because any catastrophic event to their head supply effectively k–ls what is left of the company.
