11 Months and no contract for Florida

Almost a year now. Zero progress. No meaningful updates. Florida is toast. Just a matter of time. IBEW824 let us all down.

Crazy. The company is on the verge of going belly up and you think there is some glimmer of hope that a contract offer is out there and the union has just failed to seal the deal. Wake up. You will not get a contract until the BK filling is done and over. One reorg is approved you will be given a take it or leave it prop to stay employed or leave. Plan accordingly.

Think of how much money you have lost with no raise in over a year! If a contract is ever reached (highly doubtful) you won’t get hardly any of it back. The union will tell you that “you are just lucky to have a job”. Now you may be saying but wait that’s what our managers always tell us. Yup, now you get the picture.

Unions are continuing to weaken with all that is going on. Police union is struggling to contain grasp, CWA and IBEW are both lost causes. Stop paying your dues to give yourself more to put away and get out of this company, things will only be getting worse.
