You all know where this is going, yet you still keep hanging around the place. I left months ago, and yes believe it or not the grass is greener. Focus your energy on you and your family. Stop focusing on Windstream and Elliot. Trust me, their focus is not on you. If you think Windstream will survive then wake up from your dream. Elliot is focused on money and so is TT. It will mostly be sold off in segments so Elliot can make the money. Been years now of TT and the boys promising dreams, but every year it gets worse. I'm sorry, but if you sit and wait for your Savior, you have a long wait and a hard road to travel.

The Windstream people I know in our ILEC town seem to be giving their best shot at keeping things running in spite of all the chaos and cutbacks
They’re not slackers
I stayed until my package arrived Thursday. No one I know including myself that has been laid off in the last two was a slacker by any means. So whomever you are - bad generalization based on outsider information. It’s true the company is going down the toilet and I’m happy to be gone everybody has to make their own decision but if you can get out soon.
The ones left at Windstream are the slackers. They are collecting a free check and it shows in the customer reviews, network uptime and MTTR. Worst telecom in the history of the business with EOL equipment from the 90s. They dont have much longer. SD-WAN is a work around to dance around their horrible network, they bought low grade resold VoIP products, resell rebranded Zoom as their own product and outsource everything overseas. The company doesnt have much longer. Whats funny is they thought broadview was this software powerhouse when they were just a reseller and now they call themselves a software powerhouse hahaha
Our "requested" company review on glassdoor, should just direct potentials here. That would save some time for people.
If you left months ago, good for you. Move in with your life and stop wasting time on a site about company you no longer work for. Bye....
current employee. Complete agreement, we work for the shell of what was once a telecom Fortune 500, now look at us pretending to be something we are not, a "software powerhouse", with very little regard to actually understanding how to create or maintain any amount of software, we can just outsource that part, too, i guess. The grass was literally greener at all previous jobs I've ever had, so its likely the same for all future jobs. i think most of us are just hoping for a severance as we watch this become a more intense dumpster fire and seeing how much work they will pile on from other departments until the cards fall.
True. I walked around corporate long before COVD19. There are more and more empty cubes and offices. Well unless you go on the 3rd floor. It is plush for sure.
