The pressure is growing stronger for Santander to sell its USA division after recent $500 m fine in the auto group. The head of Santander has been pushing back but institutional investors are demanding that she divest from USA. Boston will be impacted, and this is going to happen within the next 2 years.

Agreed. This is certainly the trend the company is going in. The first red flag is shifting the reporting to be done in IFRS rather than in US GAAP. My strong belief is that this is being done to smooth the transition of all reporting back to Spain.
