Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Going back is no picnic! We are so understaffed it's ridiculous!

Terrible environment, the harder you work....still not good enough. The freight is coming in so heavy now...AND Now there saying their increasing the amount of boxes / pallets this week ! Not enough hours for receiving to get done. And then comes the put away, lol we have been working it till noon and later, before the increases start. Maybe the store Manager will get out of the office and help.
I never worked so hard and still get beat up for not doing enough. is non existent due to the priority of CDS and BOPIS orders.

they cant make you come in lol why r u even worried about it you risk exposing high risk customers/employees this company is stupid, a Dr note is a legal excuse and if they try to fire you , well then they are opening a huge can of worms lol but wouldnt surprise me if they tried

Stores do not get credit for CDs orders. They do however get penalized for any order not fulfilled. Even if the error lies with corporate, like sending a CDS to a store with 0 OH, which happens more often than you’d think because our systems are outdated and don’t talk to each other.

Receiving days will be cut down once you get through the giant a– mess that's been built up. They cut all the stores in our district. A and B store are down to 3 days. A+ 4 days. D store is 2 days.

No ! The store does not get the credit for the CDS fulfilment orders. It goes into the Company sale.
Also, we were told that corporate, was gonna protect items for stores to sell. Well I don't know when there gonna do that......we sent out most of our sales flyer items. Customer's are p-ss-d, WHAT I JUST GOT THE FLYER !
THIS IS SO REDICULUS.

The whole receiving process needs to become more efficient especially when hours are cut !!! I keep hearing that we’re going to pallet receiving but still receiving each and every carton!! I realize that cutting payroll is the quickest way to save costs but if your processes aren’t streamlined the whole store suffers!

There should be a limit on the quantity shipped out...it seems that no one cares about the customers that actually come into the store looking for items that have all been processed for online orders!! I realize the store gets the sale but if you’re denying the physical customer then you might as well shut down and just become an online business!!!!!!

How about 6 minutes to process each order? Like the store is a warehouse with open aisles and no customers? The floor is so short handed we are always helping customers which cuts into productivity. All management cares about is getting the orders done on time! And we wonder why people are giving notice or calling off?

The CDS fulfilment orders are k–ling us ! The minute we get product in to sell to our customers.....wam.....here comes the CDS orders to ship them out.
So let's receiving check it in , then let's sales floor stock shelf and top stock the rest. An hour later it's back up the ladder to pull for an CDS fulfilment orders. What a waste of time and effort.
