If the executives cared, they would've given the go ahead to reactivate as many people as possible. But we know the truth, these heartless basterds are DENYING furloughed employees from earning SOME money for their families before Chevron cuts them...

There is some shenanigans going on with regards to staffing, and having the numbers look a certain way prior to merger. I’ve been instructed to do some things in the name of “cost savings” that never made sense operationally, but do if you’re trying to make yourself seem more efficient/spending less than you actually are. Chevron is gonna be in for some surprises when they unwrap the package.

No one had to pay you to leave. They may choose to but they don’t have to.

I'm still on furlough. Have heard of a few that have been reactivated on a part time basis; although I'm sure there were some that came back full time.

I'm a little perplexed why all furloughed wouldn't be reactivated. Prior to the Chevron announcement, we were waiting on commodity prices to rebound and activity levels determined. Now, that's all changed since whatever activity level is undertaken, will be for the benefit of Chevron stockholders.

So why haven't the furloughed been brought back (full time)? This would allow these individuals to be considered more closely to be absorbed into the Chevron org, or released. I was told that there were attempts to reactivate me just a week before the Chevron announcement. Now I'm hearing nothing, so I've reached out to find out what is happening.

I'm not going anywhere. Noble/Chevron will have to pay me to leave if my role is not absorbed into the Chevron organization.

So glad I was laid off and don’t have to work through the transition.

I’m sorry to say but chevron doesn’t do furloughs. They just cut. Hopefully you can get some cash out of the deal.

Hopefully they will just package us out and not make us come back for any transition period, just to package us out.
