Thread regarding Nielsen layoffs

When will it be over?

I've heard the layoffs might extend into the next week, is this true? I don't understand why they have to drag it out so much. If I'm on the list, just let me know! Don't make me wait and stress over it for weeks or even months. What good will that do for anybody?

I am so glad I am out of that f—ing place. That company is a cult. They don’t care about the employees one bit and they like to live a life of mystery. What kind of b—s— is that not to contact any employees or management? LOL...LOL....How the hell are you supposed to know what’s going on with your job?

Nielsen will have to layoff more people. They're desperate for cash and trying to hold on to field works.

Fascinating..you are not allowed to talk to other employees or management? Who gets to dictate that? It sounds to me like they are waiting for the bill to pass that relieves them of any responsibility of employees becoming ill after returning. Since you are not allowed to talk to anybody you have no idea who was diagnosed and they certainly did no reporting or contact tracing.

Not sure about San Antonio, Dallas and Sarasota.....i did get a call from a supervisor in March can you work from home......ok called back...... left message stating i have internet but a personal laptop and no old school phone land line. no respomse..... 4 months and it feels like a Stephen King book. WEIRD at best........I did get an initial letter from HR being a valued employee...interesting. Layoffs 3600 global......not a peep from company.......

company has been in a perpetual state of annual layoffs or more for over 10 years. The 3 CEOs in that time have had the same plan...cut costs. There is no future vision where the company has new products and services that grow revenue. Tried to limp into the digital era but it's not enough.

Not sure but I think till the end of the year or close to that. It'll be on going depending on how the company is doing. No one is truly safe.
