Thread regarding DST Systems layoffs

It is truly amazing to see how many people who left this company and now have made great strides in their career. People who were held back due to the fragile egos of their management who could not admit someone was more skilled than they were. A sad history at DST of management with no leadership skills and no ability to help talented associates grow. Glad to see that many have found a better path outside of the company.

Came here to add a similar comment. Left several years ago: y’all don’t have stay. I doubled my salary (over a period of 1.5 years) after my time at DST. I would have never seen that increase if I stayed. And for those who “stay for the benefits”: cut the sh–. They are market rate and you can get that easily elsewhere.

Additionally, I have never worked at a place where there were so many incompetent and sensitive managers as I did at DST.

Curious for some more examples of this. Most people I know of from Financial Services got less pay and lower job titles.

My spouse left DST a few months back, not a day too soon. Their whole demeanor has been lifted up, like a huge weight is gone. Happy & thriving. Keep y’alls ear to the ground but heads up. Don’t settle forever on this life s—ing place!

There are SS&C employees at the former DST who sleep in their cars in the parking garage because they have nothing to do at work (or don't want to work). Why does SS&C put up with this nonsense? The old DST did not let their employees take naps in their cars. Paging Bill Stone...wake up!

Saying that DST leaders were dinosaurs who fell asleep at the wheel is both insulting to dinosaurs and wheels. All of the so-called "DST Leaders" are now retired at their Lake Homes, sitting there with nothing to do but squander their ill-gotten gains from the lush years. SS&C had no idea what they were buying when they bought DST. They were like the young men at the wh–ehouse with their fresh benjamins thinking they were buying a crack at the wh–ehouse virgin when instead they got the 70 year old h–ker posing as the 50 year old.

DST leaders were dinosaurs who fell asleep at the wheel and protected the good ol boys. Then they sold out the employees and retired. Enter SSC which is a below average technology company that was at least hungry enough to push the DST sleepers out of the way. Now they know how little they really know it is too late. Too bad for those who trusted their leaders.

It takes an evil person to get up every morning and go tp work with the intent of over dominating to create fear and doubt one will still have a job tomorrow. That is the management style here.

Yes, lots of good people have left from that horrid organization and moved on to be appreciated and work fulfilled corporate lives rather than living in promoted fear and doubt daily.
