i know of at least one claim associate/rep laid off in Tempe last week. No warning...nothing.

I agree pot stir comment. There are probably terminations or people resigning in Tempe. I work in Dallas. Have close contacts in Tempe. Have heard zero layoffs this week. So way more detail if you make that kind of comment.

I will say overall claims reps in all depts across the hubs who work from home are overall giving really poor customer service. I didn’t say everyone, but overall the call quality is terrible with wrong information provided ect. Really just lacking common sense. It’s bad.

Now I can share that is likely a reason State Farm will not let people work from home. Laziness.

By the way my friends At Allstate and Usaa are having similar situations. Customer service starts out great, more the work from home goes the drop in quality has been significant.

Did this lead to Allstate decision to lay-off? No.

My point isn’t to be right or justify anything, but a lot of people in claims at the first level are half way doing their jobs.

Enough where exec management had noticed the decline at all these companies.

If you want to work from home long term I would be more present with your calls.

Tempe Claims has layoffs 3 days ago? Which dept? I am in Tempe and no one has shared any lay-off news this week on the gossip mill. Which department? We all want to know in case we are going to be next.

Buckle up, its going to be another year like the restructures that cut positions acrossed ops departments in 2017-2018. Sales and morale are swinging back up, so ops areas are going to have to cut at least 10% again. Read between the lines of the last CEO message where he says we’ll have to make even more difficult decisions to be the leader. That means ops cuts to give better rates.

It's all BS. If they don't like you or you don't "fit in" they will find anything to terminate someone especially after you are at or above midpoint. They claim diversity but not inclusive. If you are conservative, get out. They hate you.

I’m just a lowly CA, but our section managers are talking about a call avoidance initiative and running reports so it sounds about right. I suppose they’ll fire as many as possible who shouldn’t be on unemployment before they announce layoffs. From my understanding this is what they’ve did in other OCs before closing down? I just found this site so maybe that’s common knowledge.
