Given that chevron is buying Noble, your manager will have no say in your bonus (or job). So relax. Spend time with your kids. Watch Netflix. Don’t check your email after 4 pm or on weekends. Don’t polish your deliverables. Enjoy life and milk it for all it’s got.

Chevron won't ask the Noble managers about the Noble worker bees, because Chevron will likely laid us all off. With the downturn, Chevron folks will have first dibs. Hang on you Noble position till Sep / Oct then start slacking. Nothing will matter by then.
Management has implemented a disaster that they have no interest in sorting out or stake in the outcome. If you don’t see that you’re blind. We’re warm bodies holding our chevron counter parts places.
Although I’m a professional, and I’m going to show up and do what I can, I feel absolutely no obligation to bust my a–. During the last reorg, I was given: 1) a new boss Who has no idea what we’re doing; 2) a new role where the responsibilities/expectations were never discussed, nor any plan of succession to my former role. How can i possibly succeed when expectations are non existent, and there is no accountability above me? I can’t even get someone to tell what I should be doing daily.
AND, on top of all this, no one knows if they’ll have job (and if you’re not paying attention, a majority won’t). And BTW, Chevron isn’t gonna know that you worked your a– off to try to pick up the pieces. Neglect your spouse and kids. Stress out. It will do nothing for you. Who’s being kept and who’s being let go are decided. It’s forgone.
And don’t rely on your boss, or probably new boss to put in a word. They’re alllll gone. The White Male club is gonna get cleaned out - I think they call it synergy.
@3otv, you sound like one of the bumbling incompetents that cough... manage this company or one of their boot lickers hoping to get one last pat on the head for your efforts. If you don't like the attitude expressed here we suggest you take it up with DS, BS, KF and the rest of Noble management. They set the stage for this. Their inept leadership repeatedly trashed Noble and decimated the staff. Being professionals, the staff did their best and suffered on. Now the primary perps sell the company and waltz off into the sunset with a pile of cash, screwing the employees one last time. No doubt you and the execs take pride in that accomplishment. The rest of us just express our disgust. So, if you want to talk about a disease, take a look in the mirror.
@YoursecretHRrep I pray you don't work for this company, you don't work as my rep, and that I never find out who you are. You're a POS of a person. You're lazy. You would find a way to justify you're c-appy work ethic like this. I doubt you take pride in anything you do and honestly, probably haven't earned anything you've received either. You're a disease...that's no secret.
Job well done? Our management screwed us. Why work hard so they can reap any “goals” that we bleed for.
Who are you kidding? This company wouldn't be getting taken over if management had taken pride in a job well done.
pride in a job well done?
