Ciena actively covers up all the truth about harassment

So many people leaving San Jose office, and Ciena is actively cleaning up any comment that employees raise to prove harassment.
In contrast, other companies fire harassers.. be it manager or executive.
Ciena only removes revidence and provides promotion and bonus to harassers because they are friends of executives or belong to same caste/ community. Lot of racism in Ciena.
It is proven by all those attrition seen recently.
There is no "surge" in hiring.
It is all those people who left Ciena due to bad ethics and harassment.

Ciena is the only company that will hire employee at lowest salary range, then expect him to work over 80 hours per week, and when it is highlighted, the executive will let loose his piranha henchmen to harass and spread lies that the employee is non-performing.
Tip to executive: if you want the extra job, pay for it. Learn to negotiate. Threatening and humiliation is not the method to extract work. Being characterless is not a virtue that helps the business or revenue.
How is the SJ unit head still keeping him on payroll ... shows the company's attitude towards its ethics/laws and creating a good working environment.

Based on the behavior of these management, how are they different from rapsts and pmps ? They take advantage of the employees stuck due to economic or other circumstances, they abuse them, do not let them move to another job and exploit them. Same philosophy is implemented by executive delivering the product. The "leader's" mentality is to con the customer into buying sub-standard product and make sure he is vendor_locked_in so they can milk him with horrible product . This executive gets promoted for delivering the product, while the customer goes out of business. By then, this executive can leave Ciena for greener pastures while so many H1b are laid off when no customer buys this junk product. His henchmen get promoted to the vacancy and follow his methods of harassment.
The toxic atmosphere resembles a concentration camp with career_death being the result of thinking outside the box.
Ciena needs to rethink the meaning of Brand name and why no one wants to work here.

Ciena has morally bankrupt executive leadership in engineering.
Suggest Ciena to hire by interviewing candidates for executive position. If they hire executive fired by cisco who have never held current positions and were failures in their lower level position, then how does Ciena expect to expand business.

The management style is to break your spirit. Take you down mentally. Just like circus animal's spirit and will_to_live is broken down, so that the worthless , less_powerful human can control him. They call this management . If you try to escape this environment they will make your life miserable and wont allow you to leave because they give bad reference.

Promoting Test engineers to P5 , above so many capable Software developers, is based on how much he s—s up to the executive and how much gossip he provides to manager on other engineers who spend time working. Only criteria for promotion is, if he is "close" friend to the executive.
Dont developers have any contribution to product development ?

Ciena is known to be a company that puts profits over people. That directive comes straight from the CEO/CFO. Rampant discrimination and stabbing behind the back is the culture of management. Witnessed many this year and last year.

Worst HR ever. Ciena should get banned from getting US government contracts as they use outsourcing companies like Cap Gemini, Wipro, Infosys etc to layoff US workers after asking the targeted workers to train H1Bs.

This is mafia culture :- After hiring, the team culture is to harass the employee, and in order to stop harassment, the boss will ask him to do a favor that is illegal. If you refuse, you will be harassed by everybody in the chain. This is how mafia culture works, and it is called extortion.
Ciena has leaders who approve mafia culture and reward people who participate in it.
Many people did not even interview for their positions,that is why there is no real leadership skills.

very true. No question about that. The culture brought in by the CISCO sh–s in IT and elsewhere. Active usage of H1bs, outsourcing companies, salary caps etc. Make one wonder how people with any self respect can work at Ciena.
