Can anybody tell me, why Vincent Roche is not laid off?
ADI is not the same company that it used to be. Moral is at an all time low.. I’ve never in my 35+ years have ever seen it this bad. This started before COVID and has just gotten worse. I feel like when they took the service awards away that was the straw. People have the “I don’t care” attitude” It’s a shame. Used to be a great place to work. You felt respected and valued. It’s a shame.
Now that the dust (kind of) settled, can anyone say which sites/departments have been most affected by the recent layoffs? - thank you.
It's very difficult to get things done in this organization. It's not employee or customer centric. Linear Tech rarely had layoffs, was generous which kept everyone motivated and loyal and had clear vision which was communicated through a thin efficient layer of management that had accountability as did the employees. Where's the accountabilty at ADI? I've encounter many that don't get back to you unless you cc their manager. That would never fly at LT. Engineers/employees are a commodity at ADI and there's little to no accountability. There are some performers too!...it could be a great company, but instead chooses the typical path most corporations follow for Wall St and executive management. Too bad! At least half my career was with the mighty LTC and it's incredible talent pool!!
Reorgs are always in the near term. It'll be a miracle if 6 months go by without a reorg
- and more reorg is on the visible horizon.
It's truly deplorable that I know more about other companies' layoffs from reading the WSJ than I do about those of my own company.
Management is so terrified to admit to shareholders and the public that all is not so great in the walls of ADI, but it's eventually going to backfire. If being honest drops our stock price, then let it. We deserve to understand the Why and What.
Why don’t they just ask for volunteers first then go from there.
not long ago they even tried to cancel the employee service recognition scheme, which proved a bridge too far even for the beaten down yes-men of analog. you can truly see how they value long time commitment from employees.
those stock buybacks aren't going to pay for themselves. number must go up.
Not a peep out of management, no announcements, no explanations, so many groups across ADI are starved of people power and under pressure. Sh– leadership Sh– management, constant re-org constant shuffling people around the place. Layoffs every year. People Laid off unexpectedly that have more work that they can handle, people with 20+ years of experience, people who cant be replaced by fresh faced kids straight out of college. It makes no sense. They can afford to constantly acquire other companies, 5 buildings in Ireland between Limerick and Cork with 1 building more or less empty and doing nothing. 22 billion to acquire Maxim.............what do they do the reduce their main workforce and get rid of the most experienced people. VPs SVP's are living in cloud Cuckoo land they are not grounded to reality, they have no connection with their workforce, middle management are b—s—ting their way through a career running about the place like headless chickens with no direction.
I’ve heard that this one may be 10% of 14k workforce with Maxxim assimilation coming.
Beware of the Borg.
Mostly experienced engineers are being let go
confirmed. ive heard numbers of 50 or more laid off in my dept overall. at least 3 in lmk site
gross that they are so secretive about it. transparancy in management my shiny silicon ass
broad "restructuring for agility". affected employees' last day would be september 4th. i've heard of only one affected employee so far.
Which sites are affected?
